HUGE NEWS! (for me)

This past Saturday I was in Bakersville, NC for the Creek Walk Arts Festival.  It was just a normal art show day until…..

I WON 2nd PLACE!!!!

2nd Place ribbon

2nd Place!

What an honor!!!  Thank you to all three judges and everyone who shopped with me!  It was great to meet my neighbor artists and others that came out just to browse and talk.

But that’s not all…..

On Saturday my work was accepted into the Crimson Laurel Gallery!!!  If you do not know this gallery, it is one of a few PREMIER Ceramics galleries in the U.S.!  My pots are now being displayed among some masters of the craft.  This is a dream come true!  Andy and Silvia, the gallery operators, were a wonderful pair to talk to and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A VISIT to their gallery and Bakersville, NC!  You can also shop online….hint, hint

OPEN HOUSE

Cake plate with cake

This Saturday, May 2, come on out for my Annual Open House and Seconds Sale.

Once again I have asked my friend Raquel, of Raquel’s Creative Cakes, to bake up something yummy, so you will not want to miss it!

There will be other food to nibble on, people to chat with, pots to look at and hopefully purchase.  REMINDER:  Mother’s Day is the following weekend!!!

older work - jars

Older work – Blue, Green and White Jars from 2010

For those that prefer my more quiet side,  I will be selling my older work at 20% off.  That is all the blue, green and white ware.  There are some really nice pots in this color scheme still left!

Also, don’t forget this is the one time I bring out my not-so-perfect pots (2nds) so you can grab some functional yet blemished pottery at some really great prices!

Soap Dishes, new work

New work and great gift – soap dishes!

And for those of you that want to give back, I plan to donate 10% of all sales on Saturday to the Swain County United Gift Fund (UGF).  100% of the donations to the UGF go to Swain County non-profits.  I know there is need all over the world, especially in Nepal right now, but there is an amazing amount of need right here in our county and I want to help.  Please help me make a difference!
