Manabigama to Fire!

SCC FIRES THE MANABIGAMA TUESDAY!

Joe Frank has done it!  The kiln is complete and we should be stoking the kiln all day Tuesday.

Here are some photos of the final kiln and the loading process… (oops… I forgot my camera during the last of the build!)

The first photo is of PROUD JOE FRANK.  He should be proud.  The castable went on smoothly and the kiln looks fabulous!  (Sorry for the poor quality – its from my cell phone!)

Pottery Open, sort of.

Pincu Pottery is almost open!  Come check it out any time next week Tuesday – Saturday from 10-4!

80 Highway 28 South, Bryson City, North Carolina.

Pretty much just off 19/74 – you can see King’s Grocer (formerly Texaco) from my shop.

Class schedules to come – tools are comin’ in!

Pincu Pottery

New sign - ready for business!

In case you didn’t get the phone number, it’s 488-0480.  No need to call if you come during open hours!

Pincu Pottery carries Bamboo Tools which are not available locally.  Pretty soon, come check out the selection of tools from Chinese Clay Art, and DooWoo tools!  Hopefully Dolan tools are just around the corner, too.  If you have any ideas for tools, just ask!

I want to offer tools without the shipping/handling fees for all those in the boonies.  Come, fondle the tools, choose and walk away with a new tool.  Better than shopping online!

Stand Alone Studio

It’s done.  Paint is on the walls, potter’s wheel has moved in.  I just need to finish my counter and have the signs painted.  Oh – and get rack cards and other marketing materials out.

Thanks to Jeff, my wonderful husband, my parents who, at age 70, helped paint, and to all the well wishers out there.  I hope to open next week.

There it is folks.  I hope to have tools for sale by the end of next week, too!  Stop by, chat, etc.  I hope to be in on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Thanks to all of you who have sent good thoughts to this new venture.  Stay tuned for class schedules, etc.!
